CRAWFORD VS SPENCE FIGHT PREVIEW

Legacy is on the line as well as undefeated records and welterweight world titles for both Crawford and Spence in Sin City.

While ‘Bud’ has already reached huge success in his career so far, with three division world titles and a reign as undisputed light-welterweight champion, he sees this as a rubber stamp on his greatness.

“This fight puts a stamp on everything that I’ve accomplished in this sport,” Crawford stated in the lead up to facing Spence Jr.

“People have tried to discredit me for this and that and have been calling for this fight. This solidifies everything.

“This is the fight that boxing needs. But legacy-wise, I had already accomplished a lot and was already a Hall of Famer. This win is the cherry on top for me.”

Despite there being a reported rematch clause in the fight contract, Crawford isn’t looking past the initial showdown and wants to cement his status as the best fighter in the world with victory.

The Omaha-native will enter the ring on the back of a 100% knockout ratio since jumping up to 147 pounds, including stoppages of Kell Brook, Amir Khan and Shawn Porter.

Crawford vs Spence is the biggest fight of the year and one fans have been craving.

His most recent KO success came against David Avanesyan in December, while Spence’s last ring outing was in April last year when he stopped Yordenis Ugas in 10 rounds.

But now the stage is set for Crawford and Spence to finally take each other on after so many years of speculation and negotiations.

With the eyes of the boxing world firmly fixed on Las Vegas, ‘Bud’ now relishes his chance to become a two-division undisputed champion and cement his legacy as a future Hall of Famer.
