Dmitry Bivol: Unfinished Business
For Belts, Honour, and Legacy. Dmitry Bivol’s new official collection drops soon as he prepares to settle Unfinished Business on February 22nd.
It’s a New Year but the goal remains the same for Bivol, as he seeks the undisputed light-heavyweight crown in Saudi Arabia.
Following Artur Beterbiev’s highly controversial majority decision in their first encounter last October, Bivol is relentlessly working towards rematch redemption.
It’s a quick turnaround for their second showdown on another massive Riyadh card, also featuring Daniel Dubois defending his heavyweight title against Joseph Parker and lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson facing Floyd Schofield.
But Bivol will take centre stage in the main event in his bid to become a two-time light-heavyweight world champion and achieve his ultimate career target of reigning as undisputed division ruler.
All four major titles are on the line once again in what will be a repeat of one of last year’s most captivating and elite-level match-ups.
Bivol Seeking Revenge and Undisputed Crown
In another huge Saudi pay-per-view event, billed as ‘The Last Crescendo’, Bivol has his eyes firmly set on capturing all the marbles at 175 pounds.
“This is a good chance for me. I know people liked the first fight and they want to see the second fight, and I want to be the winner of this fight,” outlined Bivol during press conference duties.
“What about belts? Before I wanted to have these belts so much, and nothing else. But today, I want revenge. I want to fix what I did before. It’s not only about belts now.
“I need to change enough to prove that I’m better and I need to add more: more actions. We’ve already changed a little bit with our training camp. Now I’m working on myself. Of course, I want to be better, I want to be perfect – and I’m trying to be.”
For Belts, Honor, and Legacy
Bivol was typically respectful during the face-off build-up to the rematch, but he was swift to respond to Beterbiev’s claims of being “lucky” that he didn’t get knocked out like all his previous opponents.
“You know, I don’t believe too much in luck,” Bivol hit back, during the only moment of needle between the two rivals.
“I believe luck will come to people who work a lot. I work on it, and I become lucky. Luck will not come without work.”
Bivol now prepares to return to the ring and define his legacy with a monumental rematch success to become undisputed champion.
This is for Belts, Honor, and Legacy. This is Unfinished Business. LFG.
